Tonight I’ll be attending the Media & Entertainment Club Networking Event @ the Standard on Sunset in Hollywood. I guess it’s suppose to be a professional event where people from the industry all meet up to network and talk about upcoming projects and events. Honestly, I just wanted to see what the Standard looks like on the inside cuz I always pass by it on my way to the gym. This seemed like a good enough reason to go.

I also want to learn more about what goes into these type of media/tech meetups, because I got some ideas of my own. But man, I’m really not looking forward to parking!

I’m taking my boy’s HD Flip with me, so hopefully I can get some paparazzish content lol. I’ll try to have the recap up on here tomorrow. Stay tuned…

UPDATE: So I did attended the Media Entertainment Club event last night @ The Standard in Hollywood. It was cool, a real laid back vibe, and networking amongst actors, actresses, directors producers, techies etc… I met a couple of interesting people, and worked on pitching myself as a professional. I went in solo, which I thought was ok, but next time I should probably go two or three deep, just to make it more comfortable. Overall, I’m not really into the whole networking thing, I guess because to me it feels too forced. But, we’ll see, I’m still thinking about having my own event. The highlight of the night had to be the valet parking though. Man, it’s amazing how much of a luxury that is. You think I’d know too, being that I was a valet for the past couple of years… But seriously, LA parking sucks and to have someone take your car off your hands knowing you won’t get a ticket is amazing lol.
